The KANE250 was launched in the spring of 2003 and has become a firm favourite with boiler service engineers. They like the rotary switch that makes it easy to use and also the excellent reliability.

KANE are now launching new software for the KANE250 which includes the following extra features

• Condensing boiler efficiency calculation
• Memory facility to store up to 16 test results
• 2 line, user programmable, header for printouts

For condensing boilers the traditional net and gross combustion efficiency calculations are not accurate; therefore with condensing boilers becoming more common, KANE have developed an accurate calculation in conjunction with combustion experts in the UK and Europe.

Existing KANE250 users will be offered a Free Software Upgrade that will add all the new features to their instruments. The upgrade can be carried out when the customer sends their KANE250 back for its annual check and recalibration or a full service.

• A full service including labour, new sensors and a further 12 month warranty is £135 +vat
