KANE welcomed Welwyn Hatfield’s Mayor, Councillors & staff to celebrate new energy efficient lighting at its Bessemer Road HQ.

The new lights were funded by a Low Carbon Grant helping local business reduce energy consumption and their carbon footprint.

They reduce CO2 output by 3.6 tonnes a year, equivalent to not driving 9,000 miles a year in a diesel car.

KANE CEO Jonathan Kane thanked Welwyn Hatfield Council, saying “As probably Welwyn Hatfield’s oldest family businesses, we really appreciate support for our net zero goal. We design & build the UK’s best test equipment saving energy and our carbon footprint must be as low as possible. We help colleagues buy electric or traditional bikes, save over 40 trees a year eliminating paper usage and have 6 EV chargers to help staff drive to work in zero polluting vehicles. We’ll now use the money saved from these new lights towards installing additional chargers.”
