How do I enter my details into a KANE 456 & KANE 458 analyser?

To enter details for your printout or data transfers you have two choices:

Enter details on your analyser

  • Turn your analyser's rotary dial to MENU
  • Press DOWN arrow button to select REPORT, then press Send / Enter button
  • Press DOWN arrow button to select HEADER, then press Send / Enter button
  • Press Send / Enter button on LINE1
  • Press UP or DOWN arrow buttons to reach first letter required, then press Send / Enter Button
  • Repeat until your required name is entered

If you require blank spaces to separate your details or at the end of your choice, select blank space (appears after lower case z) .

  • Repeat pressing Send / Enter button until you leave the screen
  • Select LINE 2 to enter a phone number or other contact info and repeat as above
  • To exit, turn your analyser's rotary dial to RATIO

Enter details via your laptop or PC (not ipad or tablet)

  • Connect your analyser to your laptop or PC using our optional USB to mini USB lead - KANE part number: CL5
  • Load KANE Live software on your laptop / PC and select option to set your printer header from your PC
  • Enter your details
