You all probably know, at KANE, we design, engineer, manufacture and sell electronic testing equipment. But did you know that most of this happens in the UK? And that we have 86 staff here that work tirelessly at our two UK sites in Welwyn Garden City and Atherton, Manchester?
Each month we are going to show you a sneak peek behind the scenes and highlight our brilliant staff.
This month we have caught up with Edo Rudge. He is our International Shipping Administrator at KANE House in Welwyn Garden City.
Edo joined us last year and brings long standing experience to the role, having previously worked for a manufacturing business for over 14 years in a number of roles including logistics and customer relations.
What made you join KANE?
I joined Kane International because it was an exciting opportunity to become part of a UK owned business which has people at its heart. At Kane I believe I will have the opportunity to make a difference.
What skills do you bring to the role?
Flexibility, dependability and determination.
What motivates you to work hard?
I like to see positive results. I enjoy the challenge of starting something and seeing it through to the end and ensuring everyone is happy along the journey.
What makes you laugh the most?
I do love comedy. I have been to lots of stand up comedy shows over the years.
What song would you sing at Karaoke?
I would not inflict that on anyone! But if I could sing I would go for Mr Blue Sky.
What really makes you angry?
Injustice.
When I’m not working you will usually find me…
With my family. We have 3 children and they keep me occupied even if it is running them to their after school activities or ensuring their social life is better than mine.
My favourite crisps are…?
I love Crisps! Not sure where to start with this. If I had to choose though, probably honey roast ham.
