KANE employee Oliver Studman has been awarded the prestigious Student of the Year title at The Manchester College Awards Ceremony, in recognition of his outstanding achievements, dedication, and contribution throughout his studies.
Having recently completed a T Level in Electronics, Oliver consistently demonstrated exceptional commitment, technical aptitude, and a strong work ethic. His success has been widely celebrated by staff and fellow students, who have praised his determination, professionalism, and positive attitude.
The award represents a significant milestone in Oliver’s educational journey and reflects the hard work and enthusiasm he has shown during his time at The Manchester College.
In September, Oliver will take the next step in his career by beginning an electronics apprenticeship with KANE International, where he will continue to develop his technical expertise while gaining valuable hands-on industry experience. This opportunity marks the start of what promises to be an exciting and successful career in engineering.
Speaking about the award, Oliver said: “Winning the Student of the Year Award for the Engineering, Construction, Automotive and Logistics Department is a real honour and means a great deal to me. It recognises the hard work, dedication and passion I have put into developing my engineering skills through my T Level studies, industry placements and personal projects.
One of my proudest achievements has been helping to establish the college Robotics Club, encouraging other students to engage with hands-on STEM activities and explore engineering in a practical and creative way.
My placement at Kane International has also played a significant role in my development, providing valuable industry experience, practical skills and the confidence to apply my learning in a professional environment. These experiences have helped shape my ambition to pursue a career in engineering, and I’m excited for the opportunities ahead.”
